No-Load Test

Verify that the battery is fully charged. Connect the starter, battery, voltmeter and ammeter as shown in the illustration. See Fig 1 . Measure the voltage and current as shown in table. See NO-LOAD TEST SPECIFICATIONS  table. Letters in parenthesis in table refer to letters in the illustration. If voltage is less than specified or amperage is more than specified, repair or replace starter or parts as necessary.
