Engine Controls - Removal, Overhaul & Installation: Introduction
Removal, overhaul and installation procedures are covered in this article. If component removal and installation is primarily an unbolt and bolt-on procedure, only a torque specification may be furnished.
WARNING:
On models with anti-theft radio, obtain code number and deactivate anti-theft system before disconnecting battery cable. See owner's manual for further information.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting the battery.
