Detection Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects not enough or too much fuel tank pressure difference when operating evaporative leak monitor or closing purge solenoid valve. This is a continuous monitoring (CCM). Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illuminates if PCM detects this malfunction conditions in 2 consecutive drive cycles. Pending codes is available if PCM detects malfunction during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC will store in PCM memory.
