Drive Mode 2 - EGR Monitor Repair Verification

  1. Perform DRIVE MODE 1 - PCM ADAPTIVE MEMORY , first and go to next step.
  2. Ensure all electrical and A/C loads are off.
  3. Drive vehicle at specified speeds. See Fig 1. Stop vehicle and access ON BOARD SYSTEM READINESS menu of GENERIC OBD II FUNCTIONS to verify drive mode completion status. Readiness Function Check (RFC) flag should change from NO to YES when test is complete.
  4. If test is not complete, turn ignition switch off and go to step  3. If test is complete, go to next step.
  5. Access DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS menu of GENERIC OBD II FUNCTIONS to monitor and verify test results. If results are okay (MEAS are within specification), go to next step. If results are not okay (MEAS are not within specification), repairs are not complete.
  6. Verify DTCs are not present. If DTCs are not present, repairs are complete.
