Mode 2 - EGR System Repair Verification Drive Mode

  1. Access to RFCFLAG PID to confirm PCM adaptive memory status.
    • If RFCFLAG PID is "Not Learned", perform "PCM Adaptive Memory Produce Drive Mode" first.
    • If RFCFLAG PID is ON, start engine and warm up completely.
  2. Verify all accessory loads (A/C, headlights, blower fan, rear window defroster) are off.
  3. Drive vehicle as shown in graph. See Fig 1.
  4. Stop vehicle and access ON BOARD SYSTEM READINESS to inspect DRIVE MODE COMPLETION STATUS.
    • If completed, Readiness Function Check (RFC) flag changes from NO to YES.
    • If not completed, turn ignition off and repeat testing from step  3.
  5. Access DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS menu of GENERIC OBD-II FUNCTIONS to inspect monitor results. If MEAS are within specification, repair is completed. If MEAS are not within specification, repair is not completed.
  6. Verify no DTCs are available.
