Removal & Installation (Tribute)

WARNING: DO NOT remove PCM until the current program has been downloaded into your scan tool to be used to input the information into the newly installed PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING .

NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis refer to numbers in the illustration.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Loosen the bolt and disconnect the harness connector (1). See Fig 1.
Remove the nuts and the PCM cover (2). See Fig 1.
Remove the PCM. See Fig 2.
To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
