Detection Condition

DTC is set, when Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) does not input after following conditions:

• Shifter is in D, 2 or 1 range.
• Load is more than 40 percent.
• Engine speed is 2000 RPM or more.

This is a continuous monitor. MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction in 2 consecutive drive cycles.
