Powertrain Control Module Configuration

Connect the WDS tester or equivalent to DLC-2. See Fig 1.
Set up the WDS or equivalent (including the vehicle recognition).
Select MODULE PROGRAMMING.
Select PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION.
Select PCM and perform procedures according to directions on the WDS or equivalent screen.
If PCM configuration is successful, the PCM stores the DTC P0602 and illuminates the MIL. System is normal. Clear the DTC P0602 using WDS or equivalent. To clear DTC P0602, appropriate SELF DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. MIL goes off after 3 drive cycles with no failure. DTCs remain in PCM.
