Shift-Lock Relay Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the shift-lock relay connector.
  3. Inspect voltage and continuity between the shift-lock relay terminals.
    • If not as specified, replace the shift-lock relay. (See SHIFT-LOCK RELAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .)

  4. Connect the shift-lock relay connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
