Shift-Lock Release Lever Inspection

Turn the ignition switch to OFF position.
Verify that the selector lever is in P position.
Without the brake pedal depressed, verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from P position.
Remove the cover.

Push down the shift-lock release lever using fingers.
Verify that the selector lever can be shifted from P position.
- If not as specified, inspect and repair as necessary.
