Cooling System Bleeding: Miata
- Slowly add coolant to radiator until coolant level is up to filler port.
- Add coolant up to FULL mark on coolant reservoir.
- Tighten cooling system cap on radiator.
- Start engine and warm it up.
- After engine warms up, run it at about 2500 RPM for 5 minutes.
- Increase engine speed to about 3000 RPM for 5 minutes, then return to idle. Repeat several times.
- Stop engine and wait until it is cool.
- Inspect coolant level. If coolant level is low, repeat steps 1- 6 .
- Inspect for coolant leakage.
CAUTION:
If coolant temperature becomes too high, stop engine to prevent it from overheating.
