Detection Condition
DTC is set when PCM detects air flow is more than 45.2 grams/sec. (more than 57.0 grams/sec. if equipped with traction control) when monitoring conditions are met.
Monitoring Conditions
- Engine speed is more than 3000 RPM (more than 2500 RPM if equipped with traction control).
- Engine coolant temperature is more than 158°F (70°C).
- Throttle valve opening angle is more than 75 percent.
This is a Continuous Monitor (CM). MIL illuminates if PCM detects malfunction condition in 2 consecutive drive cycles. Pending code is available if PCM detects malfunction condition during first drive cycle. Freeze Frame Data is available and DTC is stored in PCM memory.
