Mode 1 - PCM Adaptive Memory Procedure Drive Mode

  1. Start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
  2. Ensure following conditions:
    • All electrical and A/C loads are off.
    • Ignition timing and idle speed are within specification. Adjust as necessary. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
    • Underhood DLC-1 "GND" and "TEN" terminals are not connected.
  3. Perform no load test racing engine at speed shown in graph. See Fig 1.

Idle engine for more than 20 seconds after cooling fan stopped. If possible, use scan tool to monitor RPM PID and cooling fan status during this procedure.
