Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery group and cable. Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT.




2. Remove the upper steering column shroud.




3. Remove the lower steering column shroud.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Remove the lower steering column shroud.




4. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.

NOTE: Lower steering column to lowest tilt position.




5. Remove the ignition switch.
1. Depress the two tabs.
2. Remove the ignition switch.

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
