Ignition Switch Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the hood lock release handle and position aside.
  3. Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover and instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement. See INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  4. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the electrical connector.
    NOTE:
    • The ignition should be in the OFF position.
    1. Remove the two screws.
    2. Remove the ignition switch.

  5. Install in reverse order of removal.
    1. Tightening torque 
      1. 5.3 - 7.2 N.m (54 - 73 kgf.cm, 47 - 64 in.lbf)
