Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the bolts.
    3. Remove the sensor.
      NOTE:
      • The new CKP sensor must be touching the damper. The new sensor has wear tabs that will wear off after several engine revolutions.
  2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
