Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature (MAF/IAT) Sensor Removal/Installation

CAUTION:
  • Sensing elements located in the air flow bypass are not to be tampered with.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

  3. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet tube from the MAF sensor.

  4. Remove the four bolts and the MAF sensor.

    CAUTION:
    • Do not tamper with the MAF sensing elements located in the airflow bypass. Tampering may result in failure.
    NOTE:
    • The MAF sensor module and body are calibrated and installed as a unit.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    1. Tightening torque 
      1. 4-5 N.m (41-51 kgf.cm, 38-44 in.lbs)
