Exhaust Manifold

Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts in the order shown.





California emission regulation applicable ATX model





Except for California emission regulation applicable ATX model

Bracket Installation Note (California emission regulation applicable ATX model)
Install bracket A using bolts A and tighten to the Specified torque.
Tightening torque 38 - 51 Nm (3.9 - 5.2 kgf-m, 29 - 37 ft. lbs.)
Temporarily install bracket 8 using bolts B.





Tighten bolts B to the Specified torque.
Tightening torque 38 - 51 Nm (3.9 - 5.2 kgf-m, 29 - 37 ft. lbs.)

Bracket Installation Note (Except for California emission regulation applicable ATX model)
Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold side bolts.





Verify that the gap between the exhaust manifold and the bracket is 2.0 - 4.0 mm (0.08 - 0.16 inch).
Fully tighten the cylinder block side bolt.
Tightening torque 37.3 - 52.0 Nm (3.9 - 5.3 kgf-m, 27.6 - 38.3 ft. lbs.)
Fully tighten the exhaust manifold side bolts.
Tightening torque 40 - 55 Nm (4.1 - 5.6 kgf-m, 29.5 - 40.5 ft. lbs.)
