Fuel Charging Wiring Harness Removal/Installation - 3.0L: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 3.0L .
  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit and the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connectors.

  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

  5. Disconnect the mass airflow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

  6. Disconnect the fuel injectors electrical connectors.

  7. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor electrical connectors.

  8. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.

  9. Disconnect the two transmission harness electrical connectors.

  10. Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connector.

  11. Remove the nut.

  12. Remove the stud bolt and the ground strap.

  13. Remove the engine control sensor wiring.
