Fuel Pump Removal/Installation: Installation
- Clean the fuel pump mounting flange and the fuel tank mounting surface.
- Install a new fuel pump mounting gasket
- Install the fuel tank sending unit assembly with the float toward the rear of the fuel tank. Align the arrows molded into the fuel tank flange.
- Install the locking retainer ring while compressing the fuel tank sending unit assembly into the tank.
- Using the special tool, tighten the fuel tank sending unit assembly locking retainer ring until it locks in place.
