DTC P2227 - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Check for related Service Bulletins and/or on line repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	IDENTIFY TRIGGER DTC FOR FREEZE FRAME DATA Is DTC P2227 on FREEZE FRAME DATA?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Go to troubleshooting procedures for DTC on FREEZE FRAME DATA.
4	INSPECT CONNECTION OF EGR BOOST SENSING RELATED VACUUM HOSES Inspect following vacuum hoses for loose, damage, improper connection and/or clog. From EGR boost sensor to EGR boost sensor solenoid From EGR boost sensor solenoid to EGR pipe Are they okay?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Repair or replace vacuum hose, then go to Step 8.
5	INSPECT EGR BOOST SENSOR SOLENOID AIR FILTER FOR CLOG Has EGR boost sensor solenoid air filter been clogged?	Yes	Repair air filter clogging, then go to Step 8.
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	INSPECT EGR BOOST SENSOR SOLENOID STUCK OPEN OR CLOSE Inspect EGR boost sensor solenoid. (See EGR BOOST SENSOR SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION .) Is EGR boost sensor solenoid okay?	Yes	Go to the next step.
6		No	Replace EGR boost sensor solenoid, then go to Step 8.
7	INSPECT EGR BOOST SENSOR STUCK OPEN OR CLOSE Inspect EGR boost sensor. (See EGR BOOST SENSOR INSPECTION .) Is EGR boost sensor okay?	Yes	Go to the next step.
7		No	Replace EGR boost sensor, then go to the next step.
8	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P2227 COMPLETED Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors. Turn key to ON (Engine off). Clear the DTC from the memory using the WDS or equivalent. Run DRIVE MODE except for Mode 4. (See OBD-II DRIVE MODE .) Stop vehicle. Is same DTC present?	Yes	Replace PCM, then go to the next step.
8		No	Go to the next step.
9	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "After Repair Procedure". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
9		No	Troubleshooting completed.
