DTC P2404 - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Check for related Service Bulletins and/or on line repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnostic according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, then go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	CHECK EVAP HOSE BENDING Inspect EVAP hose for bending. Is EVAP hose okay?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Repair or replace suspected hose, then go to Step 5.
4	CHECK AIR FILTER FOR CLOGGING Inspect air filter for clogging. Is air filter okay?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Replace air filter, then go to the next step.
5	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P2404 COMPLETED Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors. Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent. Start engine and warm it up completely. Is same PENDING code for this DTC present?	Yes	Replace PCM, then go to the next step.
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "After Repair Procedure". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
6		No	Troubleshooting completed.
