Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Replacement

  1. Disconnect the TP sensor connector.
  2. Remove the attaching screws.
  3. Remove the TP sensor.
  4. Verify that the throttle valve is fully closed.
  5. Catch the tang of the TB on the TP sensor plastic rotor.
  6. Position the TP sensor on the TB so that the mounting holes align.
  7. Install the attaching screws.

    Tightening torque 

    1. 1.6-2.3 N.m {16-24 kgf.cm, 14-20 in.lbf} 
  8. Release the throttle.
  9. Verify the TP sensor PID value. (See PCM INSPECTION .)
