Fuel Tank Removal/Installation: Notes
WARNING:
- Repairing a fuel tank that has not been properly steam cleaned can be dangerous. Explosion or fire may cause death or serious injury. Always properly steam clean a fuel tank before repairing it.
- Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION". (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION (+)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Siphon the fuel from the fuel tank. (See FUEL SYSTEM LOCATION INDEX (+)
- Remove the middle pipe (BP) or the presilencer (BP WITH TC). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (BP) (+) (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (BP WITH TC) (+)
- Remove the propeller shaft. (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (+)

- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Complete the "AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION". (See AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION (+)
