Differential Assembly: Service and Repair

AXLE ASSEMBLY





Removal and Installation
1. Remove the rear halfshafts.





2. Disconnect the rotary blade coupler electrical connector.
3. Remove the differential housing-to-front insulator bracket bolts.





4. Loosen the front insulator bracket-to-subframe bolts, and rotate the bracket aside.





5. Position a suitable transaxle hydraulic jack to the axle housing. Securely strap the jack to the housing.

Note: This step requires an assistant.

6. Remove the differential housing-to-side insulator bracket bolts and the axle assembly.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Fill the axle with the specified quantity of the specified lubricant.
