Pinpoint Test 9: The Speed Control Indicator Lamp Is Always On

PINPOINT TEST 9: SPEED CONTROL INDICATOR LAMP IS ALWAYS ON

PINPOINT TEST 9		THE SPEED CONTROL INDICATOR LAMP IS ALWAYS ON
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR FOR SHORT TO GROUND Key OFF. Disconnect the speed control actuator connector 0120-101. Is the indicator lamp illuminated?	Yes	GO to the next step.
		No	INSTALL a new cruise control actuator. See SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR . TEST the system for normal operation.
2	CHECK CIRCUIT (O/LB) FOR SHORT TO GROUND Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C-220b. Measure the resistance between the cruise control actuator connector 0120-101 pin 1, circuit (O/LB), harness side and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?	Yes	INSTALL a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
		No	REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
