Seat Belt Inspection: ELR
- Verify that the belt can be pulled out smoothly, and that it moves smoothly when wound.
- If not as specified, replace the seat belt.
- Verify that the retractor locks when the belt is quickly pulled.
- If not as specified, replace the seat belt.
- Remove the retractor. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] , FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] , SECOND-ROW SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION , and THIRD-ROW SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Make sure that the seat belt does not lock when the retractor is tilted slowly up to 15°
from the mounted position and locks when the retractor is tilted 40° or more.
- If not as specified, replace the seat belt.
