Knock Sensor (KS) Removal/Installation

Remove the battery cover.
Remove the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF] .)
Remove the dynamic chamber. (See INTAKE AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the KS connector.
Remove the KS installation bolt, then remove the KS.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
KS tightening torque

16-24 N.m {1.7-2.4 kgf.m, 12-17 ft.lbf}
