DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE (DTC P0222)

TP sensor No.2 circuit low input |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- If PCM detects TP sensor No.2 voltage is to be below 0.1 V
after the ignition switch to the ON position, the PCM determines that TP circuit has a malfunction.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in the first drive cycle.
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

- TP sensor No.2 malfunction
- Connector or terminal malfunction
- Open circuit in wiring harness between throttle body terminal E and PCM terminal 2AO
- Short to ground in wiring harness between throttle body terminal E and PCM terminal 2AO
- Open circuit in wiring harness between throttle body terminal D and PCM terminal 2AL
- Short to ground in wiring harness between throttle body terminal D and PCM terminal 2AL
- PCM malfunction
