| No | Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step. | ||
| 2 | VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
|
Yes | Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.

| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 3 | VERIFY STORED DTC IN ABS HU/CM OR DSC HU/CM (With ABS/DSC)

Yes | Go to the appropriate DTC inspection (See INTERMITTENT CONCERN TROUBLESHOOTING .) |
| No | Go to the Step 11. | ||
| 4 | VERIFY CURRENT INPUT SIGNAL STATUS-IS CONCERN INTERMITTENT OR CONSTANT (MT WITHOUT ABS/DSC)

Yes | Go to the INTERMITTENT concern troubleshooting procedure. (See INTERMITTENT CONCERN TROUBLESHOOTING .) |

| 5 | INSPECT VSS CONNECTOR FOR POOR CONNECTION

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Reconnect the connector, then go to Step 11. | ||
| 6 | INSPECT THE VSS
|
Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Replace VSS, then go to Step 11. (See VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) |

| 7 | INSPECT VSS CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
|
Yes | Repair or replace suspected harness, then go to Step 11. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 8 | INSPECT VSS CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | Repair or replace suspected harness, then go to Step 11. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 9 | INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR FOR POOR CONNECTION
|
Yes | Repair terminal, then go to Step 11. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 10 | INSPECT VSS CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
|
Yes | Inspect VSS pulse wheel for damage. Replace VSS pulse wheel and go to the next step. |
| No | Repair or replace suspected harness, then go to the next step. | ||
| 11 | VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0500 COMPLETED
|
Yes | Replace PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 12 | VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE

Yes | Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE .) |
