Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR INSPECTION [MZR 1.5]

CAUTION:
- The MAF sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the MAF sensor, replace it together with the IAT sensor as a single unit.

Visual Inspection

1. Visually inspect the MAF sensor for the following:

- Dirt, damage, cracks
- Rusted sensor terminal
- Bent sensor terminal

- If there is any malfunction, replace the MAF/IAT sensor. Service and Repair

Sensor Output Value Inspection

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2. Switch the ignition to ON.

3. Verify that the voltage (M-MDS PID: MAF) within the specification. PCM Inspection

- If not as specified, replace the MAF/IAT sensor. Service and Repair
