Accelerator Pedal Position (App) Sensor Inspection
NOTE:
- The APP sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the APF sensor, replace it together with the accelerator pedal as a single unit.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Verify that the APP sensor output value (PID: APP1, APP2) change smoothly while throttle valve is gradually depressed. (See
ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST
.)
- If verified, go to the next step.
- If not as verified, replace the accelerator pedal. (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Verify that the APP sensor output value (PID: APP1, APP2) is as indicated in the table below according to the condition of the accelerator pedal. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST .)
- If not as verified, replace the accelerator pedal. (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
