Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Inspection
NOTE:
- The TP sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the TP sensor, replace it together with the throttle body as a single unit.
- Verify that no DTC related to APP sensor has been detected. (See
ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST
.)
- If any DTCs related to APP sensor have been detected, perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Verify that the TP sensor output value (PID: TP1, TP2) is as indicated in the table below according to the condition of the accelerator pedal. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST .)
- If it cannot be verified, replace the throttle body. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
