Filament Inspection

  1. Switch the ignition ON.
  2. Turn on the rear window defroster switch.

    CAUTION:
    • When inspecting, wrap the end of the lead with aluminum foil and attach the aluminum foil to the filament. Attaching the lead directly to the filament may damage the filament.
  3. Connect the positive lead to the end of the positive side and negative lead to the body ground.
  4. Slide the positive lead from the end of the positive side to the end of the negative side, and verify that the voltage of each filament is as shown in the table.

    • If the voltage changes rapidly at any point, the filament has a malfunction. Repair the filament.
