Knock Sensor (KS) Inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6] .)
- Disconnect the KS connector. (See KNOCK SENSOR (KS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Measure the resistance between the following terminals:
- KS terminals A and B (KS (RH))
- KS terminals C and D (KS (LH))
- If not as specified, replace the KS. (See KNOCK SENSOR (KS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
KS resistance
- Approx. 4.87 megohms [ECT: 25 °C {77 °F}]
