Knock Sensor (KS) Removal/Installation
NOTE:
- Put a tray under the converter housing to receive the engine coolant.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6] .)
- Perform the following procedure for easier access.
- Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION". (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION .)
- Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the ventilation hose. (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the TP sensor connector. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the vacuum hose (to purge solenoid valve). (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the vacuum hose (to master back). (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the dynamic chamber. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the fuel hose. (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the fuel distributor. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the intake manifold. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
NOTE:
- Lubricate the new O-ring with clean engine coolant for installation.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Complete the "AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION". (See AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION .)
