ECT Sensor No. 2

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  3. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 2 connector.

  5. Disconnect the hoses. (See HOSE CONNECTION NOTE .)

  6. Remove the nut from the water pipe.

  7. Move the water pipe in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to remove it. (See WATER PIPE INSTALLATION NOTE .)

  8. Remove the ECT sensor No. 2 using the SST  .
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
