Buckle Switch Inspection: Driver-side

  1. Switch the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more  . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  3. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ,)
  4. Remove the front buckle. (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.
    • If not as indicated in the table, replace the front buckle. (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
