Secondary Control Valve Body On-Vehicle Installation

  1. Install the new O-rings and tubular pin.

  2. Install the secondary control valve body.
  3. Tighten the bolts and GND shown below.

    Tightening torque 

    • 8-10 N.m {82-101 kgf.cm, 71-88 in.lbf}
    BOLT LENGTH

    Mark Length (mm {in})
    B 40 {1.6}
    C 50 {2.0}
  4. Connect the solenoid valve connector.

    HARNESS SIDE CONNECTOR COLOR (REFERENCE)

    Solenoid valve Connector color
    Pressure control solenoid B White
    Shift solenoid F Black
  5. Apply sealant (TB1217E)  to the contact surface of the oil cover.

    CAUTION:
    • Clear oil sealant remaining on the contact surface of the transaxle case and oil cover, and clean the sealant area using detergent oil. Otherwise, oil could leak.
  6. Install the oil cover before the applied sealant starts to harden.

    Tightening torque 

    • 8-10 N.m {82-101 kgf.cm, 71-88 in.lbf}
  7. Add ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
  8. Install the aerodynamic under cover. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Install the battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Install the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12. Install the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  13. Perform the mechanical system test. (See MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST .)
  14. Perform the road test. (See ROAD TEST .)
