Primary Control Valve Body On-Vehicle Installation

CAUTION:
  • Assemble the manual valve end and parking assist lever component correctly as shown below.

  1. Assemble the primary control valve body, accumulator, and accumulator spring.

    SPECIFICATION

    SPRING Outer diameter (mm {in}) Free length (mm {in}) No. of coils Wire diameter (mm {in})

  2. Tighten the bolts shown below.

    Tightening torque 

    • 8-10 N.m {82-101 kgf.cm, 71-88 in.lbf}
    BOLT LENGTH

    No mark 70 {2.8}
  3. Connect the solenoid valve connector referring to the harness colors. Wiring harness side connector color (reference)

    Pressure control solenoid A Black
    Shift solenoid A White
    Shift solenoid B Blue
    Shift solenoid C Green
    Shift solenoid D White
    Shift solenoid E Black
  4. Install the GND.

    Tightening torque 

    • 8-11 N.m {82-112 kgf.cm, 71-97 in.lbf}
  5. Install the oil strainer.
  6. Install the TFT sensor to the oil strainer.
  7. Apply sealant (TB1217E)  to the contact surface of the oil pan.

    CAUTION:
    • Clear oil sealant remaining on the contact surface of the transaxle case and oil pan, and clean the sealant area using detergent oil. Otherwise, oil could leak.
  8. Install the oil pan before the applied sealant starts to harden.

    Tightening torque 

    • 6.0-8.0 N.m {62-81 kgf.cm, 54-70 in.lbf}
  9. Add ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
  10. Install the aerodynamic under cover. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12. Install the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  13. Perform the mechanical system test. (See MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST .)
  14. Perform the road test. (See ROAD TEST .)
