Intermediate Sensor Removal/Installation

CAUTION:
  • Do not allow foreign material or water to penetrate the connector. Otherwise, it could cause poor contact and corrosion.
  • When installing the intermediate sensor, verify that there is no foreign material on the sensor such as metal shavings. If there is foreign material on the sensor part for the intermediate sensor such as metal shavings, the sensor output will malfunction due to magnetic flux and result in deterioration in the control.
  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove in the order shown below.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
