Shift-Lock Solenoid Inspection

CAUTION:

Do not allow foreign material or water to penetrate the connector. Otherwise, it could cause poor contact and corrosion.

Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the center console box. (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4. Remove the console panel. (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5. Remove the center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
6. Remove the selector lever knob.

7. Remove the shift panel. (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8. Remove the side wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
9. Remove the front console. (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
10. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.

Measure the voltage between the selector lever component terminals and GND.

- If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the related wiring harness.
- If there is no malfunction, replace the selector lever component. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
