Fuel Line Safety Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
.)
- Remove the fuel-filler cap to release the pressure inside the fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel pump relay.

- Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
.)
- Start the engine.
- After engine stall, crank the engine 2 to 3 times
repeatedly and verify that the engine idling condition is not maintained. (to relieve pressure in fuel pipe)
- Switch the ignition to off.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION

- Install the fuel pump relay.
- Connect the high pressure fuel pump connector.
