Front Accessory Socket Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the passenger-side console side panel. (Refer to CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the passenger-side side wall. (Refer to SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. While pressing the cap tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, press the front accessory socket in the direction of the arrow (2) to detach the cap tab from the front accessory socket.

  5. Detach all the tabs of the cap from the front accessory socket and remove the front accessory socket from the cap.
  6. While pressing the cap tabs in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the cap in the direction of the arrow (2) to detach the cap tabs from the passenger-side side wall.

  7. Remove the cap from the passenger-side side wall.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
