Rear Accessory Socket Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Trunk covering (Refer to TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (Refer to TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk side pocket (Refer to TRUNK SIDE POCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Trunk end trim (Refer to TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Rear scuff plate (Refer to REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Third-row seat cushion (Refer to THIRD-ROW SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Third-row seat back component (Refer to THIRD-ROW SEAT BACK COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Trunk side trim (RH) (Refer to TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.

  4. While pressing the cap tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, press the rear accessory socket in the direction of the arrow (2) to detach the cap tab from the rear accessory socket.

  5. Detach all the tabs of the cap from the rear accessory socket and remove the rear accessory socket from the cap.
  6. While pressing the cap tabs in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the cap in the direction of the arrow (2) to detach the cap tabs from the trunk side trim (RH).

  7. Remove the cap from the trunk side trim (RH).
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
