Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Removal/Installation

CAUTION:

When replacing the CKP sensor, make sure there is no foreign matter on it such as metal shavings. If it is installed with foreign matter, the sensor output signal will malfunction resulting from fluctuation in magnetic flux and cause a deterioration in engine control.

Turn the steering wheel to full right lock.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Lift up the vehicle.
Remove the front splash shield (RH). (Refer to FRONT SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the service hole cover (installed to front under cover No. 2).

Disconnect the CKP sensor connector.
Remove the bolt.

Remove the CKP sensor.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
