Visual inspection

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the plug hole plate. (Refer to PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the exhaust gas pressure sensor connector.
Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor. (Refer to EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Visually inspect the exhaust gas pressure sensor for the following malfunction:
- Damage, cracks, dirt
  - If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the exhaust gas pressure sensor. (Refer to EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
