U.S.A. And CANADA: 2WD/AWD: Notes

  1. Level the vehicle.
  2. Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION". (Refer to BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION .)
  3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  4. Drain the fuel. (Refer to FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE .)
  5. Disconnect the following parts:
  6. Remove the floor under cover. (Refer to FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Disconnect the HO2S connector. (Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Remove the HO2S clip from the body. (Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Remove the TWC and HO2S as a single unit. (Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  12. Complete the "AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION". (Refer to AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION .)

    2 Joint hose
    3 Fuel tank

    4 Fuel tank strap
    5 Quick release connector
    (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6 Breather hose
    7 Fuel pump unit
    (See FUEL PUMP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
