Selector Cable Removal/Installation: Notes
- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the aerodynamic under cover. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the insulator (No. 5) installation nuts and set the insulator (No. 5) aside. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the center console box. (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the console panel. (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the selector lever knob. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the shift panel. (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the side wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front console. (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the drain hose wire from the A/C unit. (See A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order shown in the figure.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Inspect the selector lever. (See SELECTOR LEVER INSPECTION .)PART DESCRIPTION
