Location of use: ECT sensor
WARNING:
- A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
- Pull out the evaporative hose No. 1 from the catch tank and set it aside.
- Pull out the ventilation hose from the air hose and set it aside.
- Remove the clip and loosen the wiring harness.
- Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor using the SST.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
